3. User Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations
  • Infringe on others' intellectual property rights
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Use automated systems to access our platform without permission
  • Post discriminatory content in violation of fair housing laws

5. Property Listings

Property owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Listings must comply with all applicable fair housing laws and may not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or familial status.

6. Applications and Screening

Rental applications are processed through our platform. Background and credit checks are conducted by third-party providers. Property owners make all final decisions regarding tenant selection and must comply with applicable laws.

7. Payments

Payment processing is handled by third-party providers (Stripe, PayPal). By using our payment services, you also agree to their terms of service. OpenDoorway is not responsible for payment processing errors by third-party providers.

8. Fees

Certain services may incur fees as described on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify our fees with reasonable notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on OpenDoorway, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is our property or the property of our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy of listings, the reliability of users, or that our services will be uninterrupted.

11. Limitation of Liability

OpenDoorway shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees you paid to us in the past 12 months.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OpenDoorway harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of our services or violation of these terms.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these terms or for any other reason. You may close your account at any time through your settings.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Dallas County, Texas.

15. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
